If you are looking for simple ways to grow your business and profits virtually overnight, you need to implement the four steps we’re about to reveal.
Word of warning: just because these steps are simple, doesn’t mean they don’t require some time and effort to execute. If you are willing to put in the work however, and fully commit to the process, then your dedication will be rewarded.
The strategies we’ve outlined below are invaluable to modern marketing and business, and we’ve seen them work for local businesses time and time again.
As we’ve mentioned before, online community and the power of conversation is the new currency of business. We are going to show you exactly how to leverage this, so buckle your seat belt and let’s go.
Step 1: Create a Business Facebook Page
Having a Facebook Page specifically for your business is invaluable, as we discussed on this blog here.
If you already have a business Facebook Page, congratulations! You can skip to Step 2.
For those without a business page, you’re in luck! We’ve been inundated by requests to show exactly how to create a Facebook Business Page. Some people have been using their personal profile for business purposes, which we don’t recommend even if you are the brand behind your business.
To help you get started, we’ve set up a Business page from scratch to show you exactly how it’s done.

Step 2: Post Valuable Content
It’s easy to think valuable content is the money we have in the bank, or the priceless contents of a safe. Content for our purposes is the communication through which you engage your online community.
Back when you (or your parents) were younger, the medium of communication was mix tapes and hand written letters. You are consuming content right now by reading this blog. Other forms of digital (online) content include articles, white papers, YouTube videos, Facebook Lives, Instagram posts, Instagram Stories, Twitter, Snapchat and whichever new platform influencing online space.
The buzz word is conversation, and it is literally a game-changer.
In this world of information-overload, attention is everything. Do not make the mistake of underestimating the value of where people are spending the majority of their time. Instead of directly pitching and selling, the smarter strategy is to provide people with free information, and add value to their lives.
Becoming an industry specialist or perceived authority in your niche can set you apart from your competitors, and ensure that your company is the first one people think of when they require your products or services.
Step 3: Post AMAZING Weekly Offers
As your community grows and comes to expect valuable information and advice from you, this is your opportunity to start posting great hooks (aka offers) to eventually entice them to become customers.
How would this look practically, you ask?
Here’s an example of this step in action:
Imagine you own a bakery, and you specialise in creating out-of-this-world doughnuts. Not only do they taste delicious, but you custom hand-decorate each one.
You provide free content to your community in the form of recipes and articles on your blog, and you also upload doughnut “how-to” videos on YouTube. Over time, you steadily gain a following of people who are excited to see what crazy doughnut you create next.
You don’t shy away from sharing your best tips to help people make their own baking a success, and you are constantly engaged with your community on all the platforms you’ve chosen to display your work on.
When the time comes for you to take things a step forward, you are going to lean on this community. Whether you begin hosting baking classes, or you release your first “crazy doughnuts” eBook on your online store, the only way you are going to make sales is if you have people who believe in what you have to offer.
The downside to content creation is obviously the time involved but it requires very little to get started in terms of know-how (if you don’t know how to post a YouTube video, just Google it!).
But trust us, this is so worth it. Of all the tips, this one is by far the most important.
One word of caution though… be genuine. This is not manipulation or mind control – if you aren’t sincere, people will see straight through you. Give of your best self and the community you serve will pay you back tenfold.
Step 4: Boost Content and Offers to your area
Once you have a good routine of content creation in place, and you are regularly posting your enticing offers, you will need to move onto the final step in the strategy. It might not be enough to simply rely on organic reach for people to hear your message (we discuss the decline in organic reach in this blog here), so paid advertising is next on the list.
Paid advertising on social media platforms is the next logical step to increase exposure of your business and products, and the beauty of it is that you can tailor your message and earmark it to the type of individuals most likely to buy from you.
Don’t just throw a ton of money at Facebook and Google ads and expect miracles though!
Be smart about it. Continuing with the example we gave of our brilliant doughnut maker, we imagine that this person would want to show her ads to people already interested topics such as: baking, DIY, Krispy Kreme, Snowflake Flour, and icing designs.
If she is hosting baking classes, she wouldn’t set her advert to display to the entire country! She would select her area and hone-in on the people most likely to benefit from attending her class.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, this can be a very economical way to advertise!
Another great benefit is that once our doughnut queen’s classes are full, she can simply pause her adverts until she needs more students, saving her tons of money in “wasted” ad spend.
The Takeaway
Like most worthwhile endeavours in life, there is no “magic bullet” that will do everything for you. Successful business owners have embraced the four steps we’ve shared with you, and maximised every opportunity to it’s fullest potential.
If you work through each step one by one, and slowly get used to balancing free content with paid advertising, you are well on your way to see increased leads and profits for your business.
Remember this is a marathon, not a sprint so don’t try the steps for one week and then give up. Keep working on providing interesting and useful content to your followers and strategically entice your community with fantastic offers they can’t refuse. In time, you will see that they are more than happy to buy from you.
